Clayton Williams

Clayton Williams is a 5th generation native of Santa Barbara County. He was born into a cattle ranching family and was riding horses before he could walk. Clayton continues to raise show steers and heifers and also competes in reining cow horse competitions and team penning. With his vast experience working with ranch animals it is no surprise that Clayton was easily able to transfer his expertise to working with aquatic animals.

Clayton began his Aquarium career during his sophomore year and quickly demonstrated a passion and skill in taking care of the hundreds of animals in our care. During his junior year he served as animal nutritionist – a job that requires great dedication and attention to detail. He performed so well that he was selected to be Head Curator of Habitats and Husbandry during his senior year.

With all his experience working with animals it might come as a surprise that Clayton is planning on majoring in business when he graduates from Cabrillo High School. Because Clayton has taken such an active role in the Aquarium program, he has developed a wide array of skills which will serve him well no matter which field he decides to study. Next year, he hopes to attend Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.
